Description

This parka takes its cues from the padded jackets 1970s mountaineers wore against serious cold. The fabric is 70% wool, 20% mulberry silk and 10% vicuña, and it's filled with feathers.

Vicuña is a remarkably warm fibre, and paired with the feather filling it keeps you warm without the weight. The coat is light, and you'll forget you're wearing it.

The beaver fur collar comes off when you don't need it. An inner drawcord lets you cinch the waist.

A blend of three noble fibres, each with a specific role.

70% wool: the foundation of the fabric. It naturally regulates temperature, breathes, and stays warm even when slightly damp. It also gives the fabric structure and resilience.

20% mulberry silk: the finest of silks. It adds a subtle sheen, a supple and fluid hand, and real strength, as it is a naturally very durable fibre.

10% vicuña: one of the rarest and finest fibres in the world, from a camelid of the high Andean plateaus. Its very fine fibre traps air and insulates remarkably against the cold without adding weight. It gives that incomparable softness to the touch.

The result: a warm, light, soft and long-lasting fabric with an understated, luxurious look.
